Crochet Flower Coaster Pattern

Crochet Flower Coaster Pattern

Since coffee has become life, coffee ring stains has also become a daily pain. I've always wanted to make crochet coasters, but I just never had a need for them. Now I do.

This pattern is one of the first ones I had come across, I believe I was originally looking for flower patterns when I came across this one. The link had lead me to LuluLoves. The pattern looked easy enough to follow. Although the pattern is written in UK terms, I knew that it wouldn't take much to edit it into US terms. After scrolling through the comments to see if there were any changes others had suggested. I decided I'd give it a shot.

The pattern called for DK cotton and a 4mm hook. I only have worsted-weight acrylic yarn on hand, so I used that instead. I used Red Heart with Love in Iced Aqua, Tan, and White. And since I was going to use a heavier-weight yarn, I used an F hook.

My finished coaster measured 5 inches across, which is a perfect size for my coffee mugs.
