Crochet Flower Coaster Pattern

Crochet Flower Coaster Pattern

Since coffee has become life, coffee ring stains has also become a daily pain. I've always wanted to make crochet coasters, but I just never had a need for them. Now I do.

This pattern is one of the first ones I had come across, I believe I was originally looking for flower patterns when I came across this one. The link had lead me to LuluLoves. The pattern looked easy enough to follow. Although the pattern is written in UK terms, I knew that it wouldn't take much to edit it into US terms. After scrolling through the comments to see if there were any changes others had suggested. I decided I'd give it a shot.

The pattern called for DK cotton and a 4mm hook. I only have worsted-weight acrylic yarn on hand, so I used that instead. I used Red Heart with Love in Iced Aqua, Tan, and White. And since I was going to use a heavier-weight yarn, I used an F hook.

My finished coaster measured 5 inches across, which is a perfect size for my coffee mugs.

The Start of loveHaru + ME

I am taking my first steps into the blogging world. In my head, I feel that I will fail, again. But in my heart, I feel that I will get somewhere; whether it's just to a few followers to my ultimate dream, I know I'll end up somewhere.
With this, I will attempt to document my journey into becoming a business owner. I technically already own a business, but I'm not doing to well at it. So with this, I plan to expand my audience, captivate them, and hopefully make a few new friends along the way.
I plan to use this blog for a bunch of random posts. I plan to post up crochet patterns that I like and have tried, DIY projects that I've done, and products that I have or will have on my online store. I'll share my random thoughts with all of you, maybe. I won't post too personal things though. I don't need the world knowing all of my problems.
My ultimate dream is to have my business successful. Right now, I simply want to make money from it. But down the road, I'd like to be known as a 'someone' in my crafting community. Right now, its just a part time thing, or even a quarter time thing. I put my morning hours into my blog, my business, errands, and housework, everyday is different, my afternoon hoursare for my kids, and the evening hours are family time. I'd like to say I have late night hours, but in all honesty, I sleep.

And with that I will leave you till next time.
